This is about moving from selfishness to true selflessness and giving without agenda.
Shadow - Selfishness: Everything on the planet is interconnected. This shadow goes against that understanding. This shadow exists in survival mode. Selfish acts keep us in lower frequencies, alone, and only looking out for our own well being. We are cut off from the collective. In its repressive nature, the 27th shadow manifests as self sacrifice. We are without boundaries and give to the point of allowing ourselves to be taken advantage of without mutual benefit. In its reactive nature, selfishness shows up as self-centered. This is giving with an agenda. Giving in order to receive and with strings attached. This is giving from the mind and not the heart.
Gift - Altruism: When we realize the communal bond between members of the group, we understand that giving to others is giving to ourselves as well. The survival of the group depends on survival of each individual. When individuals give to the group and to other individuals, they ensure their own survival as well. When we care for others without expectation and without an agenda, the community is bonded and everyone benefits. This detachment from the outcome, and giving solely from the heart, is the basis of altruism.
Siddhi - Selflessness: Selflessness is an absolutely pure yearning to provide for others. There is no self-consciousness in this state. There is no awareness of “doing good”. It is a state of love, and loving all, because that is its nature and there is no other way to be.
I Ching - Yi - Nourishing: The twenty seventh gua of the I Ching is translated as nourishing. Some use the translation of providing nourishment or nourishment. When things are accumulated in great amounts, nourishing becomes available. The ancient sages proclaimed that nourishing and nurturing were not a matter reserved for the family, but concerned society as a whole and pertains to physical as well as spiritual nourishing.
Questions for Contemplation: When do you find yourself concerned only with your own survival? Maybe after losing a job or relationship? How does it feel to give with the expectation of receiving as opposed to giving for the sake of giving? When have you experienced giving from your heart and then receiving (unexpected) returns?
Share your contemplations on this 27th Gene Key. How or when does the shadow show up for you? What small shifts can you make in your awareness and your consciousness to move from shadow to gift? Has this shadow reappeared for you with additional challenges even after raising your vibration and moving forward?
