Reaching the Source: Doubt - Inquiry - Truth
This is about finding truth in every step as doubt fuels inquiry and understanding.
Shadow - Doubt: Doubt is born when you lose touch with the wonder of imagination. Doubt is the foundation of logic. The logical left brain is designed to see repeating patterns and doubt feeds this evolutionary progression. However, doubt also sits in the mind as unconscious mental pressure. Doubt leads to inquiry. While doubt is impersonal, we make it personal and internalize it, making it a destructive force. Self doubt occurs when we repress doubt and use it in comparison. Suspicion is the reactive side, when it is transformed to anger and taken out on others.
Gift - Inquiry: When the energy of doubt is expressed cleanly, it becomes the gift of inquiry. Inquiry is about remaining open without finding a definitive answer to life. The continual pressure of doubt fuels the spirit of inquiry which leads to deeper levels of understanding.
Siddhi - Truth: At the shadow frequency there is nothing but truth. At the gift there is nothing but truth. Truth is every step of the way. Doubt is truth. When doubt is trusted at such a profound level, the doubter disappears into the doubt leaving truth. There is nothing that is not truth.
I Ching - Ji Ji - Already Filfilled: The sixty-third gua of the I Ching is translated as already fulfilled. Some use the translation of after completion. In a situation where everything is fulfilled, people look for more, and are then unfulfilled (64th gua). There needs to be a balance. Like the fire that causes the water to boil, then it overflows and puts out the fire.
Questions for Contemplation: When do you find yourself in doubt? How does self doubt hold you back from experiencing truth? Can you disassociate from the doubt to see only the truth in an event? Can you see how truth is in every instance, no matter how disturbing or confusing?
